Executive Director

With a wealth of experience and expertise in project management, Sesi leads our organization with a pioneering spirit and a steadfast dedication to empowering the community through knowledge and innovation. Her visionary leadership and proven ability to manage complex projects drive the success of our education and community development initiatives.

Masixole Sizani

BOARD MEMBER

Responsible for managing and coordination of the Our Science and Technology Program, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with program goals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring collaboration and mutual support for programme success: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Science and Technology Program, including logistics, record-keeping, and reporting. Provide ongoing support to both learners and tutors, ensuring their needs are met and facilitating a positive learning environment. Engage with and support parents, keeping them informed about programme progress and addressing any concerns or feedback.

Daniel Seshabela

BOARD MEMBER

Responsible for managing and coordinating the Funda Ukwazi Program, ensuring its effective delivery. This includes maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, overseeing the daily administration of the Funda Ukwazi Program , and providing continuous support to both learners and tutors. Engage with parents, offering support and keeping them informed through regular updates and feedback. His role also involves performing secretarial duties, such as handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records, as well as fulfilling treasury duties, including managing financial records, processing payments, and overseeing the programme’s budget. He handles public relations, ensuring effective communication with the community, media, and other external entities to promote the programme and its initiatives.

This includes maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, overseeing the daily administration of the Academic Support Program, and providing continuous support to both learners and tutors. Additionally, engageS with parents, offering support and keeping them informed through regular updates and feedback. His role also involves performing secretarial duties, such as handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records.

Opportunities and Fostering Growth Within Our Community

At Shine for Hope Developers (S4HD), our success is not only measured by business achievements but also by the positive impact we have on individuals' lives. One such success story we are particularly proud of highlights our efforts in nurturing young talent through our aftercare program.

We are thrilled to share that we have successfully expanded our team by hiring seven new employees. Among these talented individuals is a remarkable young man who began his journey with us as a Grade 12 student in our aftercare program. Recognizing his potential and determination, we provided him with guidance and support, helping him to pave the way for a brighter future. Today, this young man is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of South Africa (UNISA). His journey, from being a high school student in our aftercare program to becoming a law student, is a testament to the transformative power of education and mentorship.

This success story embodies the core values of Shine for Hope Developers: empowerment, education, and community upliftment. We are also proud to note that our efforts extend beyond individual achievements. During school holidays, our programs have contributed to reading advancement rates, equipping learners with improved literacy skills that have a lasting impact on their academic journey. Additionally, our focus on mentorship and learning support has directly contributed to increased pass rates, enabling learners to achieve significant academic milestones.

Furthermore, we celebrate the achievements of our learners who, as a result of their hard work and the support provided by S4HD, have received awards from their schools. These accolades not only highlight the learners’ dedication but also reflect the effectiveness of our programs in fostering excellence.
